About Dr. Belinda Jones, Founder

Why I Started Y.E.S.

Dr. Belinda Jones is the Founder and CEO of Youth Empowers Service, LLC. (Y.E.S., LLC).  Dr. Jones has primary oversight and responsibility to coordinate and develop existing and emerging partnerships between Y.E.S., LLC and its community partners in education, community and career support services that are directly related to supporting youth in underrepresented populations.

Dr. Jones founded Y.E.S., LLC because of her ongoing passion and desire to give back to communities that shaped her building blocks and shaped her career.  Dr. Jones attributes her career success to the active participation and engagement of community leaders in various occupations assisting her along the way over the years.  Dr. Jones believes in the African proverb of “It takes a village to raise a child”.  Meaning, we need an entire community of people to interact with youth for those youth to experience growth in the environment in which they live. Dr. Jones believes if there is positive growth with our youth and young adults, America’s future will be resilient and enriched.
