Workforce Success and Soft Skills Readiness…..

Youth Empowers Service LLC (Y.E.S.) DBA as YES Now was launched to engage, excite and enlighten today’s future workforce in developing and mastering the art of “soft skills development” and equipping them with the necessary tools and skills to be successful in their career of choice or an  independent entrepreneur.

“Soft skills refers to a broad set of skills, competencies, behaviors, attitudes, and personal qualities that enable people to effectively navigate their environment, work well with others, perform well, and achieve their goals. These skills are broadly applicable and complement other skills such as technical, vocational, business and academic skills.  Soft skills include the following components: social skills, communication skills, higher-order thinking such as problem-solving and decision-making, self-control, and positive self-concept.

Y.E.S. captures an innovative interactive hands-on approach to soft skills development for young adults through Empowerment, Apprenticeship, Life Coaching and Career and Business Guidance with community leaders and subject matter experts.

Today’s business landscape is about communication, relationships and presenting your organization in a positive way to the public and potential employees. Soft skills in the workplace allow organizations to effectively and efficiently use their technical skills and knowledge without being hampered by interpersonal issues, infighting and poor public and market perceptions.

Recruiting for the right blend of soft skills takes a measured and strategic approach. It also requires an investment of time and gut instinct. There are many definitions of soft skills and multiple approaches to teaching and measuring them in the 21st century for our future leaders. Y.E.S. is the bridge to help future employers and employees prepare interacting with each other in the workplace.

What would be your best “soft skills” approach for the “Future Workforce” to get prepared to compete in America and beyond?
